Moving on is a provision that recognises the importance of lifelong learning for everyone.

At our Day Service, Moving On provides opportunities for adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities to engage in social interaction and both mental and social stimulation whilst building on existing skills and developing new ones.

The Orchard Trust has over 25 years experience in meeting the needs of people who require complex care.  We can also deliver elements of existing physiotherapy plans and have opportunities for hydrotherapy and trampoline therapy (at extra cost)

During the day you willl have 1:1 support from arrival to departure and 2:1 support for all personal care and transfers to and from wheelchairs.

A typical day will involve sessions of intensive interaction and developing skills in communication, making choices and being creative.  Everyone has the chance to partake in the full range of social activities at the centre.

Block bookings are taken and must be paid for in advance.

Taster Days

We offer free taster sessions so you can visit and see what we can offer.  We will be happy to discuss your individual requirements including support needs and specific therapies.

For details on costings please contact the Centre

  • Residents from a local care home visited the Orchard Trust activity park and smallholding site.  They tried out the park equipment and met some of the animals.  It is fantastic to see a range of people using the activity park and getting so much out of it.  We welcome anyone to come and visit the site and use the equipment, we just ask that you please call Phill or George on 01594 861359 to let them know you are coming.
